Telehealth Services

We are offer virtual appointments for both new and existing patients who are physically located in Indiana.

These online appointments may be utilized for localized skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, rashes, eczema and psoriasis, as well as evaluation of individual suspicious spots. Virtual appointments are not be appropriate for full body skin checks, annual skin exams or any procedures (warts/cysts/etc.)

Any prescriptions generated will be sent to your preferred pharmacy or to your home.

We will bill insurance and if processed you are responsible for all deductible/co-pay/co-insurance as required by your insurance. If denied you will be responsible for up to a reasonable flat rate fee.

A fee of $25.00 will be charged for all appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.

You will be required to verbally consent to our telehealth agreement which you can review at the link below.

New Patients

  • Request a Telehealth visit by calling our office at 317-516-5000.
  • We will send you information for setting up access to our Patient Portal.
  • Continue to follow the Existing Patient steps below starting at the second step.

Existing Patients

  • Request a Telehealth visit by calling our office at 317-516-5000 or by sending us a direct office message through the Patient Portal.
  • In your Patient Portal make sure your insurance information is up to date.

  • We request that you also take a photo of the front and back of your insurance card and submit those images through the Patient Portal as verification.

  • In order to conduct the Telehealth visit you will need to make sure your cell phone and email are up to date as well in the Patient Portal.

Telehealth Visit

  • 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled telehealth appointment time, please go to our Telehealth Waiting Rooms and select the provider you have an appointment with.
    • Click the link from a device that has a camera attached. Cell phone, tablet, laptop, desktop with webcam.
    • If you do not have a scheduled appointment, you will not be seen.
    • Technical requirements: high speed internet connection, device with a camera and microphone.
  • Once you are in the visit the provider will get your verbal consent for the Telehealth Consent and Financial Responsibility Information from above.
  • After the visit any prescriptions will be sent to your preferred pharmacy.
  • If any follow up appointments are required we will reach out to you for scheduling.

COVID-19 Patient Information

Does Dawes Fretzin Dermatology recommend the COVID-19 vaccine?

Absolutely. Every person eligible should obtain the COVID-19 vaccine and booster. Additionally, patients being treated with certain medications, including biologics for psoriasis, should obtain the COVID-19 vaccine booster.

Safety Precautions? (Updated 2022)

Our top priority is the health and safety of our patients, community, and staff. We have established high standards when it comes to facility cleanliness and hand hygiene. We would like to update you regarding the precautions we will be utilizing in our office to accomplish these goals:

  • All staff will continue to wear masks.
  • It will continue to be recommended for all patients to bring and wear their own masks to appointments, but not mandatory.
    • As a medical facility we believe this is still the best practice.
  • All interactions with front office staff will be conducted to minimize contact
  • Rooms will be disinfected between patients
